Excursion 11

20, 21 and 22 August 2004

Dear colleagues,

This second more-than-one-day long trip is also our first 3100 m mountain in the session. It has already the ink of a high level mountain trip. The altitude above 3000 m makes this outing much harder due to the lower concentration of oxigen and to the long paths covered by snow. That's why it is advisable to bring a PIOLET. This trip as the first more-than-one-day trip, requires also a minimum logistics since we are going to stay for two nights in the mountain. If you are interested in coming, you should make a reservation in the mountain hut of "Pierre a Berard" for sleeping/dinning on the night of Friday 20th of August. Another similar reservation should be made at the mountain hut of "Moede-Anterne" for the night of 21st of August. Reservations for a place in these mountain huts can be made by phoning +33(0)4.50.54.62.08/+33(0)4.50.54.63.45 for Pierre a Berard (26 euros 1/2 pension) and +33(0)4.50.93.60.43/+33(0)4.50.78.02.09 for Moede-Anterne (36 euros 1/2 pension). In the URL http://excursiones.salicio.com you can find information on the outings.

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.

Have a lovely weekend! Cheers! Jose.
