Excursion 04

Saturday, 3 June 2006

Dear colleagues,

Following the beginning-of-the-session-low-level-trips, I'm still proposing an easy one to recover our lost good shape. Here is my proposal:

Date: Saturday, 3 June 2006
Site: Tete du Vuargne (1825)
Classification: Easy
Altitude: 1825 m (highest point)
Climbing up distance: 431 + 70 + 120 m
Climbing time: 1h30
Total hiking time: 4h30
Starting point: Les Chavannes - (1484 m)
Meeting point: CERN cafeteria at 9h30
Remarks: Panoramics.
Access: Take the Autoroute Blanche and get out at the high of Cluses. Take road D902 to Taninges. Continue along road D902 for about 12 km to arrive to Les Gets. In the center of the village take road to the right driving us to Les Chavannes. Park any where there. Driving time from CERN: 1h20

In the URL http://excursiones.salicio.net you can find information on the outings.

It is convenient to emphasize some useful items: please do not forget to carry on (wear) raincoat, hat/cap and sun glasses, warm gloves, hiking boots or sport-footwear with thick and non-slipping sole, enough food and drinks for the own consumption. Spear dry clothes and after excursion confortable shoes are very convenient.

Have a lovely weekend! Cheers! Jose.
